Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to the public PlanArith website and its educational personal finance calculators. The current service does not offer user registration, profiles, paid subscriptions, bank-account connections, or individualized financial consultations.
Calculator inputs and the technical information involved in delivering a webpage are handled differently. The sections below explain that distinction.
Information you enter into calculators
Types of information
Depending on the calculator, you may enter financial assumptions such as income and expenses; assets and debts; balances, interest rates, and payments; savings and contribution amounts; ages and planning dates; retirement income and spending; college costs; inflation, tax, fee, and return assumptions; dependent needs; and existing insurance or other household resources.
How current calculator submissions work
PlanArith does not save those entries to a database or associate them with a user profile. There is no user account in the current service. This statement concerns calculator form values; your browser still makes ordinary technical requests to load the site and its assets, as described below.
Do not enter sensitive credentials
The calculators do not need bank login credentials, full account or card numbers, Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, passwords, or security codes. Do not enter those items. Use approximate or rounded planning figures when exact values are unnecessary for your purpose.
Automatically processed technical information
When you request a page, standard web hosting, network, and security infrastructure may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. Depending on the provider and request, that information can include:
- your IP address and approximate network location;
- browser, operating system, device, and language information;
- requested pages and assets, referring information, and response status;
- request timestamps; and
- diagnostic, performance, abuse-prevention, and security logs.
The PlanArith application does not currently include a separate analytics system that collects calculator usage or visitor behavior. The project does not identify the production hosting provider, so this Policy does not name a provider or claim a specific log-retention practice. Infrastructure providers process technical data under their own operational and legal requirements.
Cookies and similar technologies
The current PlanArith application does not set its own cookies and does not use localStorage or sessionStorage. It also does not integrate analytics, advertising technology, or third-party tracking scripts. Hosting or security infrastructure may still use strictly necessary mechanisms to deliver or protect the site when applicable.
How information may be used
Calculator values are used in the browser to validate inputs and generate the requested estimates, breakdowns, schedules, projections, charts, and scenario comparisons. Standard technical request information may be used by hosting, network, or security infrastructure to:
- deliver pages and assets and maintain reliable operation;
- diagnose errors and performance problems;
- detect, investigate, and prevent abuse or security incidents; and
- meet applicable legal obligations.
Data sharing and retention
Because current calculator form values are not submitted to PlanArith, PlanArith does not share or retain those values on a server. They persist only in temporary page state until you reset, reload, or leave the page.
Technical request information may be handled by infrastructure providers that deliver, secure, or maintain the site. It may also be disclosed if required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or a good-faith need to protect the service or others. Retention of infrastructure logs depends on the provider's configuration, security needs, and legal obligations; the current project does not establish a specific period.
PlanArith does not currently operate advertising integrations or a system for selling or sharing calculator entries for targeted advertising.
Security limitations
Reasonable technical safeguards can reduce risk, but no website, browser, network, or storage method is completely secure. Use a trusted device and connection, keep your browser updated, and avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information. PlanArith cannot guarantee that every transmission or infrastructure system will be free from unauthorized access, failure, or misuse.
Children's privacy
PlanArith is a general-audience personal finance education site and is not directed to children under 13. The current service does not knowingly ask children to create accounts or submit personal information. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor's use of financial planning tools and should not allow a child to enter sensitive personal information.
External links
If PlanArith links to a website or resource operated by someone else, that destination has its own privacy practices. PlanArith does not control how an external site collects, uses, or secures information. Review the external site's notices before providing information there.
U.S. users and privacy rights
Privacy rights differ by state and circumstance. Depending on applicable law, a person may have rights to learn about, access, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of personal information held about them, and may have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for making a valid request. These rights can include exceptions and verification requirements.
The current calculators do not create an account record or submit calculator values to PlanArith, so PlanArith ordinarily has no server-side calculator record to access, correct, or delete. This Policy does not claim formal certification or universal compliance with any particular privacy statute.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Policy may be revised when the service, its infrastructure, or legal requirements change. A revised Policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes to how calculator information is handled will be described before or when the changed practice takes effect, as appropriate.
For the limits that apply to calculator results themselves, read the Financial Disclaimer.
